Vera won - he had Randy seriously hurt at least twice, while Randy's "dirty boxing" wasn't causing any major damage.

HOWEVER, Randy is the headliner, and that's always good for at least a round or two, so I wasn't surprised by the decision.

i must be going crazy. i'm pretty sure that randy just won for the same exact reasons shogun just lost. mma officiating is a joke. brandon should have easily won imo.

Bandon did more damage time is a big factor in judging and most of the fight Brandon was trying not to be taken down so that means even tho Randy could not get the take downs was the one attacking another big factor in judging. The attacks from Brandon were good but he only had control for a short time meaning Randy wins. Brandon should've keep his distance

Are you Kidding me....Vera came to WIN a match...knock out or submission...Randy came to tire him out then win the match..problem was it wasn't working on Brandon...which means Couture never got to the part where he tried to beat Vera...I know he controled the fight but if a near perfect wrestler like Randy holds you against a fence you likely aren't going anywhere...so in a situation like this control is not the factor that should win...it should be based on damage and who went for a win...otherwise WWF's Yokozuna would be the best Mixed Martial Artist cause he could sit on folks for 3 rounds without them going anywhere....
