I still have to see it. I saw a long time ago one of LeSean's sketches which I liked alot and they seemed to have stayed true to that style according to the commercial I saw today. If it all looks like that and the story isn't boring then I'll be a fan. I'll have to check it out.
It has been some years since I last watched the original, so I cannot recall exactly why it never really captured my interest. I do not seem to have the same trouble with this remake. The art is what mostly impresses me compared to the original.
I thought it was excellent, I've always enjoyed the original and can't wait to see more of this new series. Designs are top tier work, backgrounds are gorgeous, and they have an excellent voice cast. Terry McGinnis (Will Friedle) as Lino-O I'm sold, Batman Beyond has always been one of my favorite series. Hopefully the Larry Kenny (OG Lino-O) comes back in some future episodes in some form of a flashback or what not. Studio 4C did a great job with the premiere I just hope that they maintain and exceed the quality of future episodes to come.
I looked at the toys and I am glad that they are going to be adding Wilykit and Kat to the ranks. I do wonder about Monkian, Jackelman and those guys. Also loved the Berbil homage when i think Lion-O was holding one of their hands as a spare part.
Lion-O has more personality and depth and so does Tigra! Though he is kinda a butt. He has the makings of Loki about him. Still not sure how their abilities work. Cheetara's speed seems to be because she is a cleric. Not sure how Tigra has the invinsibility. Also if tech is pretty much unknown to the Cats. What will be Panthro's strong suit? He was the team weaponsmith and tech guy before.
